Volunteers Make a Difference!
We strongly believe that every person has a skill or talent that can be utilized in one of our programs or services. We have a wide variety of volunteer projects to help meet needs within our agency. All opportunities help in furthering the mission of the Family Support Center: strengthening families, protecting children, and preventing abuse.
Upcoming New Volunteer Pre-Service Training:
Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@familysupportcenter.org
Due to a high volume of volunteers we are experiencing a backlog of applications. Please allow us time to get back to you.
The minimum age for volunteering at the Family Support Center is 14, however, those under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We work with:
High school and college students (age 18 and older) fulfilling volunteer credits or service learning objectives (20 hour minimum)
Scouting groups and Scouts working on Eagle projects
Church and civic groups
Business or other agency
Other groups
The Family Support Center does NOT accept court-ordered volunteers. No exceptions.
If you are looking to volunteer with us to fulfill a service learning credit for school, please plan ahead and call early in the term. We do require that you complete a minimum of 20 hours. There are a number of opportunities for you to help however we cannot guarantee that you will be able to fulfill your hours and learning objectives by your deadline if the timeline is too short.
Due to the vulnerable population we serve, the Family Support Center reserves the right to deny any application for volunteering for any reason. Additionally, based on availability and support needed at each location, you may not be able to volunteer at the exact location you are most interested in.
