Therapy Services

At this unprecedented time, your mental health is more important than ever.  The Family Support Center’s counseling department is up and running with a secure telehealth system and in-person appointments.

Please call 801.955.9110, Monday through Thursday 8:00 - 6:00, and either speak to our receptionist or leave a message and we will call you to set up an appointment.

The Clinical Department at Family Support Center specializes in treating children 6 years and older, adolescents, adults and families who have had their lives impacted by trauma and abuse.  We consider it an honor to work with our clients to increase resiliency and healing.  We utilize evidence-based therapeutic tools to help our clients improve their quality of life while moving through the stressors that come from challenging life experiences.

We are happy to coordinate with DCFS, Victim Advocates, Domestic Violence shelters, Medical Doctors, and other community partners you might be involved with.  We are an approved DCFS provider.  We take Medicaid and United Behavioral Health insurance.  We are also willing to work with additional private funders such as clergy or nonprofit organizations and have a limited sliding-fee scale for those without insurance who meet financial criteria.

Typically intake paperwork will be filled out online, however, if you prefer to fill out intake documents in person, please plan to arrive 20 minutes early to allow for your full time in session or you may print and fill out the paperwork found below and bring it with you to your first therapy appointment.

Voices: self-empowerment support group for teen girls

Now, more than ever, girls need a place to connect with healthy role models and have a safe place to discuss their concerns about life. Family Support Center has a long legacy of providing therapeutic services and support to the families in our community. We invite you to participate in our newest offering of Voices for adolescent girls.

Voices is a curriculum created by Stephanie Covington to meet the unique needs of adolescent girls today. Each girl receives her own interactive journal to aid in her self-discovery. She will be provided a safe space, encouragement and structure to explore herself, her connection with others and healthy living along with learning more about important social issues such as bullying and social media. This program has been successfully implemented in many communities and schools across North America.

Please contact us at 801.955.9110 or anyone on the clinical team to sign up for this exciting opportunity. View or download flyer here.

Upcoming Sessions:
Jan. 13 - April 28, 2021, Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 pm
