Family Support Center Amidst COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
We’re living in a moment, where everything looks different, and routines are changing and constantly up-ended. The impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has caused us all to take a moment to pause before taking our next steps. We want to assure you that the Family Support Center is STILL HERE and COMMITTED to providing you support and strength during this difficult time. We will strive to continue to provide services for as long as possible.
CRISIS NURSERIES: are fully staffed and open in all THREE locations. Due to current rates of COVID-19, we have implemented some restrictions to protect both staff and clients. Children aged 3 and up are required to wear masks. For complete details click here. Please contact 801-967-4259 to schedule a drop off.
CLINICAL DEPARTMENT: clinicians are still available and seeing patients via tele-health, phone call, and in person for clients whom tele-health is not a good option. At this unprecedented time, your mental health is more important than ever. FSC’s counseling department is up and running with a secure tele-health system. Our existing clients are benefiting from continued services and we are accepting new intakes. Please call 801.955.9110 and either speak to our receptionist or leave a message and we will call you to set up an appointment.
LIFESTART VILLAGE: residents are being encouraged to follow all CDC recommendations. Currently, no groups, classes, or volunteer projects will be coordinated on campus.
EDUCATION CLASSES: Parenting education classes are being taught online via zoom. Learn more here.
ADOPTION RESPITE: is available when needed.
VOLUNTEERS: At this time Family Support Center has limited outdoor volunteer opportunities to help meet essential needs of our programs. We are following CDC guidelines and requiring all volunteers, staff, and clients to wear masks. We additionally ask our volunteers to provide their own yard work gloves and wear them the entire time they are touching equipment. Volunteers are also welcome to bring their own yard work tools if they feel most comfortable doing so. Learn more here.
Please note that as circumstances change, the services we offer may change as well. We will do our best to update our site. Our priority is the health and safety of our clients, employees, residents and all of our families.
Thanks to our community partners who are supporting us and keeping us stocked with food, cleaning, and household supplies. Supporting each other is how we will make it through this and all of our hard times. It is an honor to work and serve this amazing community.
Be kind, stay healthy, and wash your hands
